This tooth is serrated like a steak knife! The blade has beautiful enamel and sharp point with some mottling in the green/grey color. The reason it isn't a #1 tooth is because the root and bourlette have some wear. The root appears whole, because the errosion present is generalized over the entire area with no "chunks" missing. The photo is an accurate representation of this tooth. This is a "bigger" tooth than it measures and has a blade like a heavy front 4 1/2" tooth. It is also one of those teeth with yellow-ochre borders in the enamel where it meets the bourlette and in the back. Really pretty! SOLD $88

This tooth was not recovered from a river like most megalodon fossils are, but instead, was dug directly from the rock in a phosphate mine. "Land" teeth never get bounced around on the bottom of rivers and as a result, the serrations are fantastic. The colors are unique as well. The tooth blade is tan with orange highlights on the borders with the bourlette. The bourlette itself is a chocolate brown and about 80% present. The root is 95%+ and has normal expansion cracks. Unfortunately, this shark bit into a large bone and chipped the very end of his tooth prior to losing it (see the photo). These "Aurora" phosphate mine teeth are rare. This one is a bargain SOLD $135

This tooth has a beautiful greenish chatoyant blade which has mottling in black and yellow. There is almost no peel on the blade. The serrations are in extremely good shape. The tip has a small feeding damage spot and there is a little root erosion along the normal expansion crack on the top of the root. Please, as with most of these shark teeth, judge from the photo. This tooth has a nice triangular shape, complete grey-green enamel with some mottling, and visible serrations. There are interesting small feeding damage and bite marks in the blade edges and a clear bite mark just above the bourlette. Remember, a bite mark is where the shark bit his own tooth during a feeding freezie. If a tooth is a "photo" of an animal from a past age, the bite mark converts the photo into a movie. ON HOLD $135

This tooth is clearly a #1 grade tooth, except that just before the shark lost it, he slightly dulled the tip. The root and bourlette are 99%. The enamel is complete with just a little recession around the bourlette area. The serrations are 90%. Enamel color is dark blue and the blade is highly chatoyant. This one is a good value. This tooth has very high quality "cat-eye" enamel which changes with different lighting conditions (usually green-grey in the middle of the blade ... and green-rust color on the blade edges). The enamel, bourlette, and root are all 95% or better. In fact, the deeply forked root and the bourlette are exceptional for a tooth this size. The enamel does have some slight feeding damage and the serrations are remnant... see the photo. FOR SALE $330
